Sigh no more, Shakespeare-lovers, sigh no more. After a heated match, The Danish Prince has emerged as the winner of our Ides of March Madness championship! One man was picked out of ten thousand-- votes, that is-- and now Hamlet fans can claim bragging rights. We only wish Yorick was here to see this!

Thanks to all who voted in our tournament and who got into the spirit of the madness! Even our friends at NPR's The Two-Way joined in and put together this game day-style analysis of the bracket -- listen here.

Curious how some of the more contentious matches shook down? Take a look at this infographic, which gives our readers (and 5,000+ voters) some highlights of the month-long tourney!

  1. Hamlet over Much Ado?? You people are crazy! Happy to see the votes were not to wide in determining the winner so glad about that. This was a super fun way to get into the march madness spirit, at least I also had something to brag about over the dinner table during the month as well as my brother's basketball. I really hope you guys do this again next year, I thought it was a really cool idea for Bard fans.
